Beyonce takes her corset where it's wanted
October 18, 2007
After cancelling a concert in Malaysia, allegedly due to the fact that the authorities disapproved of her stage wardrobe, which is likely to have included corsets and short, slinky dresses, Beyonce is taking her corset look to China.
The former Destiny's Child star confirmed on her website that she planned to perform in Shanghai on November 3rd.
However, the star will have to check that her corsets are ok, as China is not that much more liberal than Malaysia in some ways. Beyonce's boyfriend Jay-Z had his show cancelled in the country due to his lyrics being deemed too "vulgar". Even the legendary Rolling Stones have been told to tone down their act when performing in China.
Luckily, Ethiopia, Romania, Turkey, India, Thailand, Indonesia the Philippines, South Korea and Taiwan have not laid a corset of rules on the artist's performance and she will perform in all these countries with no restrictions.
Ms Knowles will perform an extra-special concert when she stops off in Istanbul on October 24th at the Sukuru Saracoglu Stadium, since the event will mark part pf celebrations for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Fenerbahce Sport Club.
