Case corset auctioned for charity
May 25, 2007
A corset bustier that was once worn by alternative country singer Neko Case has appeared on an eBay auction.
A friend of Neko Case has put the corset up for auction in order to raise funds for the Great Expectations Greyhound Rescue charity.
Neko's friend lent her the corset for a sexy calendar shoot in 2000 as a promotion for record label Sympathy For The Record Industry, in which the rocker was Miss February.
Victoria Renard explained: "At the time, Neko wore a size 12 and begged me to give it to her so she could 'squish away her flab'. She bugged me relentlessly for a year until I finally caved in and gave it to her."
The vintage 50s black lace and satin bustier includes a corset body with full length girdle and six garter attachments.
Neko and Victoria dubbed the corset 'The Secret Weapon' "because it made you look hot in or out of your clothing and mysteriously attracted members of the opposite sex for either of us when worn".
Whoever wins the corset at auction will also receive a colour print of the photo of the Miss February shot.
