The British music industry has honoured a 20-year career filled with glamour, corsets, drama and some top tunes by presenting Kylie Minogue with the Music Industry Trust Award.
At a gala ceremony in London, which featured video messages of celebrities paying homage to Kylie, with Sting noting her "iconic beauty" and saying the pop princess was "a symbol of courage and of grace under pressure", referring to her battle with breast cancer.
Receiving the award, the 39-year-old said: "It is an incredible honour to be the recipient of this year's Music Industry Trust's Award and I am truly thrilled to be recognised in this way."
David Munns, chairman of the award committee, is apparently a fan of Kylie's corsets, as he called her "by far the most glamorous" of the 15 stars already to have received the prize.
"She deserves this award for her success over 20 years, staying at the top in one of the toughest professions and inspiring millions with her grace, dignity and humanity," Mr Munns said.
Sister Dannii Minogue presented the award to Kylie, who gave an exclusive performance of her new single 2 Hearts, set to be released on November 12th.
