Corset Kate reunited with Titanic lover
June 1, 2007
Kate Winslet has been reunited with Leo DiCaprio for the first time since they played lovers in the Hollywood blockbuster Titanic in 1997.
The pair will play opposite each other in a new film Revolutionary Road, based on a Richard Yates novel from 1961, which is currently filming in New York.
Directed by Sam Mendes, who has accolades such as American Beauty to his name and is also the husband of Kate, the tale tells of a young Connecticut couple in the 1950s, whose marriage comes under strain when they realise they have married for the wrong reasons.
Winslet's roles in such films as Quills, Titanic and Finding Neverland have earned her the nickname 'Corset Kate', as she forever seems to be conferring her acting skills upon period pieces.
Corset Kate is the youngest actress to receive five Academy Award nominations and Winslet has also won a Grammy and a Screen Actors Guild award.
Meanwhile Leo himself has had experience of corset action - not wearing one as of yet, but there were plenty of heaving bosoms on display when he played the lead role in his breakthrough film Romeo and Juliet.
