Corset-loving Lady GaGa says fashion is key
January 22, 2009
New pop sensation Lady GaGa, who regularly wears PVC corsets teamed with knickers and boots as part of her dramatic stage outfits, has said that fashion is crucial to her music.
The 22-year-old New Yorker is currently enjoying her second week at the top of the UK charts with her debut single Just Dance, which is taken from her hit album The Fame.
Lady GaGa says that the key to success is being a living, breathing work of art and explains that her styling and fashion-sense is just as important as the catchy tunes.
She told the Guardian: "I always have a vision - when I'm writing a song I'm always thinking about the clothes, and the way I'm going to sing.
"I don't wanna be one song. I wanna be the next 25 years of pop music. But it's really hard to measure that kind of ambition. That kind of blonde ambition."
