Corset-loving Pearl Lowe marries in Somerset

Rock star-turned fashion designer Pearl Lowe could have opted for either a bridal corset or a gothic corset for her recent wedding day as the unique occasion incorporated both themes.
The 38-year-old married her partner of 13 years and the father of three of her children, Supergrass drummer Danny Goffey, in a civil ceremony in the library of Babington House in Somerset on Thursday.
Pearl shunned tradition and opted to wear a black silk gown for the pagan ceremony, which was attended by a host of musicians and celebrities including the bride's model daughter Daisy Lowe, former Libertines singer Carl Barat and actor Rhys Ifans.
The bride explained to Hello! magazine that the unusual style suited her perfectly.
"I'm just not the kind of person that would wear white. My mother has always joked and said that I had the whole Goth look going even when I was a child and it was fashionable," she said.
"It's quite dramatic, I admit, but that's just me."
