Corset makes Gwen Stefani's concert
August 23, 2007
On Gwen Stefani's promotional tour for her latest album, the production values were not high but her performance, not to mention her corset, ensured that the crowd was pleased.
According to the Nation, Stefani's show at the Impact Arena last Sunday was "the definition of cool" and the corset she wore was certain to have helped.
Promoting The Sweet Escape in Asia, the newspaper claims that Gwen held the audience "suspended from beginning to end".
Yet the No Doubt star pulled off the feat with only a small stage and not many special effects.
But Steafni made sure she played to her Bangkok audience, with a projector with Japanese lyrics to her hits. She also mixed up her costumes to include the Japanese, mixing Harujaku-style garments up with a tiny striped corset-dress and cape.
It seems that Gwen's new album has been inspired by other corset fans, as the Nation reports that it has been described as featuring Madonna and Prince influences.
