Corset-wearing Keira rules out 'Pirates'
March 13, 2009
Keira Knightley has revealed that she will not be donning her traditional corset once again to take on the role of Elizabeth Swann in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie.
The 23-year-old British actress played the role in the first three instalments of the hit franchise, but says that now she wants to pursue other projects.
"It was a completely fantastic experience, and it was an amazingly large portion of my life, but I don't think I need to go there again. I think that it's done," Keira said.
However, Keira says that she has nothing but affection for the swashbuckling movies and she is looking forward to seeing the next film.
"I'm very excited to see the next one. And Johnny is so wonderful as Captain Jack Sparrow. I think it'll be wonderful," she said.
Keira's career has sky-rocketed since taking part in the franchise and she has since donned a corset in the historical drama, The Duchess.
