Corsets make an entrance at the Oscars

The Oscars is as much about the fashion on show on the red carpet as it is about good film-making, as any celebrity watcher will tell you, and this year's awards ceremony was no exception.
Amid the glamour and prestige of the Academy Awards, corsets also made their presence felt, with corset-style dresses evident among several of the high-profile guests.
Jada Pinkett Smith - the wife of Will Smith - appeared to be one such fan of corsetry, with her fabulous curves given the showing they deserved in a tight yellow corset dress from designer Carolina Herrera.
Husband Will was in attendance having been nominated in the best actor category for his starring role in Pursuit of Happyness - a film that also featured the couple's real-life son Jaden.
Jada herself has had a successful film career, appearing in the Matrix sequels as well as voicing characters for the Madagascar animated films among others.
