Corsets saved Gwen Stefani's pregnant graces
November 24, 2006
While corsets and pregnancy are not conventional bed partners, former No Doubt front-woman Gwen Stefani used one to great effect on her first American solo tour.
The blonde-bombshell said that she first discovered she was pregnant during the middle of her first solo American tour towards the end of 2005.
But while many women would have called it a day in favour of a foot massage and day-time TV, Stefani kept going through physical exhaustion, pregnancy's emotional rollercoaster and even breathing difficulties.
Desperate to keep her famously sexy figure she strapped on a corset, allowing her to flaunt her sensual stuff to the beats of her classic first solo album Love, Angel, Music, Baby.
But while she may have been tired and pregnant at the time, she said that the sight of young fans in the front row, clearly attending their first concert, got her through those hard days.
However, after two highly successful years as a solo artist Stefani has announced she is to reform No Doubt.
Following the release of her second album next month the funk-rocker is to turn her back on her solo career to reform the massively successful band.
"I don't think I will make another [solo album]. I can't predict anything, but I don't plan on making one of these solo dance project records, I definitely feel myself going back to No Doubt after this to do a new album," she said.
