As the new season approaches, fashionistas are stocking up on 1920s inspired pieces and beauty trends.

According to Elle magazine, the catwalks featured all the style qualities of the decade including dramatic lips, drop-waist skirts and period corsets.

For his autumn 2009 collection, Galliano showcased a mix of 20s looks with fur-trimmed coats and other feminine pieces from the era.

Amy Boyd, a professional makeup artist, said: I love the pale natural look and the 1920s look which is coming in is really pale and lovely, with finger wave hair and red lips. It's going to be a big look this winter."

Supermodel turned designer Kate Moss recently launched a new fragrance based on her love of vintage clothing and accessories.

Earlier this month, Asda reported that sales of fake eyelashes and other glamorous beauty products such as false nails have increased in the past year.
