Fischer enjoys her corset role
March 15, 2007
Jenna Fischer has been talking about her new movie role opposite Will Ferrell - and how a corset ensured the two kept a professional distance.
Fischer and Ferrell are the stars of the new figure skating spoof, Blades of Glory, which opens in the US at the end of March.
The pair had to get quite close for one intimate scene, but while in many cases a corset is designed to turn up the heat in the bedroom, this particular prop was used for the opposite effect.
Fischer wore a supportive corset that allowed her and her co-star - both of whom are married - to avoid having to get too intimate on set.
But Fischer, who also starred in the American version of The Office, thinks that the corset played an important role in the film, by making her look good.
"They don't just throw you out there, in the movies, without any help," she explained.
Speaking to the Los Angeles Daily News, she added: "They make you look good. But as a result, there's a lot between you and the skin."
