Friends defend corset-wearing Jessica
January 30, 2009
Friends and family of US country singer Jessica Simpson, who wore a stunning corset-belt to emphasise her curves at a recent gig, have leapt to her defence after a number of tabloids made jibes about her weight.
Jessica is famous for sporting a super-slim frame in the 2005 movie The Dukes of Hazzard, for which she donned a pair of tiny denim hot-pants.
She appeared a little curvier but still looked gorgeous and womanly at a recent performance and her little sister Ashlee has said that she is "completely disgusted" by criticism of the blonde star's figure.
Meanwhile, Jessica's former personal trainer Harley Pasternak says that women have lost sight of what makes them feminine, insisting that curves are desirable.
"She has curves where a woman needs to have curves. I think Jessica has a really healthy perspective on her healthy body image and looks like a woman," he told Extra.
"I would take her body any day over somebody who's emaciated and looks unhealthy."
Women can create sexy curves like Jessica's by wearing a traditional corset or corset belt.
