Host of corset-fans attend Dior show

Corset fans Kylie Minogue and Dita von Teese were among the many celebrities spotted at Dior's cruise show in New York this week.
Penelope Cruz and Charlize Theron were also front-row ticket holders for John Galliano's between-season catwalk parade. Among the fashion designer's offerings were sculpted fetish heels and jewelled ankle straps, which would be perfect accessories to match with a corset for a real dominatrix look.
The woman who made the corset world-famous in her burlesque act, Dita von Teese, said of the collection: "I thought it was beautiful. I have a hard time finding glamorous ways of dressing in the summer weather and this was the way to do it. I loved the makeup, the jewellery, the shoes, the dresses. It was beautiful and sparkly and very inspiring."
It does seem that the corset is making a big comeback this season - international catwalk shows have often featured dominatrix style outfits with micro-dresses, spiky stilettos and lashings of leather.
