Keira's corset not only fashion leader
September 3, 2007
It seems that Keira Knightley's corset is not the only reason she is hitting the fashion headlines as the Daily Mail predicts that her new hairstyle will be all the rage this autumn.
The soft 1940s curls she sports in her new film, Atonement, are touted by the newspaper as the hottest look at the moment along with other 40s accessories such as corsets and skirt-suits.
Keira must have loved her new look, as she was also seen at the film's premiere in Venice with a similar hairstyle.
Designers also seem to have picked up on the trend towards the 1940s, with beauty brands using the look on models in their advertising.
"Just take a look at today's style icons," celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward told the Daily Mail. "Girls such as Dita Von Teese, Scarlett Johansson and Madonna are spearheading the trend for old-school glamour - making visiting the hair salon for a regular shampoo and set more acceptable."
It may be that Keira's corset look also catches on, as more celebrities seem to be sporting corset tops, spotting the obvious advantages that a made to measure corset gives to the figure.
