Knightley sick of body focus
September 5, 2007
While many people have praised Keira Knightley's figure after seeing her in a corset in several of her films, the actress is getting sick of being criticised for her weight.
The actress said she wanted critics to focus more on her films than on the fact that she has a super-lean shape.
Speaking to MTV at the London premiere of her new film, Atonement, Ms Knightley said she would rather the media stayed out of her private life.
Of suffering intrusion, she said: "Of course I want my films, my work and my career to be the focus.
"I've spoke to a lot of actors and actresses about it and I don't think that actors have to deal with quite what is put on to actresses. I'm not in the media I don't know why that is."
She added: "I don't really understand any of the interest into the other side of it. Maybe that's my fault."
Meanwhile, Keira will not be able to escape scrutiny for the moment as Atonement is already being tipped for Oscars and the star is set to don a corset again for her next role in The Duchess.
