Kylie hides behind corset
October 2, 2007
While Kylie Minogue is more than happy to be seen in a corset, the Australian pop star has cut any scenes that show the scars she sustained from reconstructive surgery in her new documentary, White Diamond.
The pint size pop star originally allowed close friend William Baker to film the scenes during her breast cancer battle, but has since changed her mind about their inclusion.
While her breasts are quickly shown in one scene, some of the shots which see her changing in and out of corsets and elaborate costumes have been axed.
"Kylie wanted a warts-and-all documentary, but there are loads of scenes fans will never see," a source revealed. "In one scene you can see a glimpse of Kylie's boobs. She wanted to show other cancer survivors there is nothing to be ashamed of."
However scenes where some costume changes occur on the Showgirl tour were deemed "too much" by Kylie, who was "extremely unhappy" with them, the source said.
But journalists were also told: "No scarring is visible because she had clever reconstructive surgery after the partial mastectomy to remove her cancer."
Kylie reportedly said: "There are many funny and many tearful moments. I was a little nervous to work on such a revealing project."
Corset fans can catch Kylie in White Diamond in the UK on October 16th.
