Eccentric singer Lady GaGa wowed fans and fellow celebs at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) held in New York on Sunday (September 13th), with a selection of unique wardrobe changes.
The 23-year-old chart topper received three industry gongs for Best New Artist, Best Art Direction and Best Special Effects, wearing unique party corsets to accept the accolades.
Lady GaGa's dramatic glamour corsets were not the only talking point of the star's presence, however, with the starlet's graphic live performance also raising a few eyebrows and showbiz reports revealing unusual backstage requests.
A source told the Mirror: "As well as a plush dressing room with all the usual demands of champagne and fluffy towels, she wanted a jungle animal.
"Her people provided her with a list of companies which provide tamed, trained lions and a formal request was lodged with VMA organisers."
More than 26.9 million viewers tuned in to the awards ceremony an increase of 17 per cent compared to last year's figures.
