Larger women 'suit corsets more'

A model has noted that on the catwalk, a curvier girl will look better in a corset than a super-skinny one.
Speaking to Southportvisiter.co.uk, Fern Victoria Hodge said that real women should be put on the runway over streamline alternatives.
Ms Hodge, who has set up a Facebook group for curvy girls, said: "The models you see now are just glorified clothes hangers, they're not real women.
"If you take a woman that skinny and put her in a corset, then there'll be nothing to fill it out with. But if you've got a woman who's a size 14 or 16 then it will fit her far better and look much sexier."
However, she was also quick to add that she didn't advocate putting particularly large models on the catwalk either as "it's just patronising".
Recently, British Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman wrote a letter to various designers claiming that the sample sizes of clothes were getting too small and that even the most established of models could no longer fit into them.
