Madonna boosts H&M figures

Madonna's new range at Hennes & Mauritz stores, which includes a corset belt, has been credited with improving sales figures for the clothing firm.
Europe's second largest clothes retailer reported an eight per cent rise in profits this April, thanks to exceptionally warm weather and corset fan Madonna's new line.
Madonna's range includes a black corset belt with a pricetag of $34.90.
Luca Solca, an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein in London, told Bloomberg: "The figures are quite good. We expected the positive impact from warm April weather and the Madonna collection.''
H&M and Madonna had already worked together on a track suit design last year, but it seems that it is the saucier outfits that are really drawing customers.
Kylie Minogue is the latest celebrity to collaborate with H&M and her beachwear line will go on sale this May, although analysts say that it will be difficult to predict whether the swimsuit line will prove as popular as Madonna's range.
