New corset role for Emily Blunt

Although no stranger to the fashion corset after her role as the neurotic Emily in The Devil Wears Prada, Emily Blunt is now wearing a Victorian corset in her new film The Young Victoria.
On set at Ham House in south-west London, the British actress told the Telegraph that she has not only spent a lot of time wearing her corset, but it takes a lot of time to get into.
For her lead role in The Young Victoria, the 24-year-old said she has to wake up at 5am to be laced into the corset. "I've been in it for the past nine weeks," she told the newspaper. 'I think this film is going to be amazing. There is such a buzz about it and it feels fresh and different."
Meanwhile despite the title suggesting otherwise, her latest film which is out this week does not involve corsets. In The Jane Austen Book Club, Ms Blunt plays Prudie, a French teacher who tried to find herself through the novels of Jane Austen.
"Of course I've read Austen," the actress said. "Actually, I did this film because, for a start, there's a great cast involved, and I was interested in my character.
"Prudie's so messed-up, really. Her mother's a hippy and she has reacted by being uptight and immature in many ways. She has never grown up, but she has to during the course of the film. I thought she had layers, and I like layered people."
Although Ms Blunt has taken a few corset roles both on screen and stage, she says what really affects which parts she takes are the characters. "Really, I try to take on many different roles," she said.
"It's interesting to do that but, at the end of filming, you have to say goodbye to the character you have become. I get so involved with my characters - some I like and some can get very tiresome, but it's an interesting world, acting, because when you are on set everything is so intense," she added.
