Christina Aguilera is set to become the latest big-name star to wow cinema audiences in a corset.
The Dirrty singer, who is no stranger to glamorous outfits, has been signed up for the lead role in the forthcoming movie 'Burlesque', the Sun has reported.
The film will see Aguilera take on the role of a shy girl who falls into a job in an LA club, where the act of donning a corset every night gives her a new lease of life.
Announcing the news, Clint Culpepper from Screen Gems, the studio making the film, told the paper: "I couldn't be more excited, as this was a project written with her in mind."
The upcoming musical, which will be the singer's first leading film role, will be based on the Liza Minelli classic Cabaret and has been written by Pussycat Dolls producer Steven Antin.
Aguilera is married to music marketing executive Jordan Bratman and the couple have a one-year-old son, named Max Liron Bratman.
