Penny Lancaster dazzles in corset for Cartier
October 22, 2007
Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster arrived at the Natural History Museum wearing a timeless corset dress to attend the party to celebrate the revamp of Cartier's New Bond Street store.
The statuesque model wore a black satin corset dress with traditional corset lacing down the front and sides as she walked down the red carpet to enjoy the champagne reception.
But it was not only Penny's gorgeous corset dress that attracted attention - her husband's shoes were also subject to scrutiny, after the rocker appeared to have added a couple of inches to his height.
Ms Lancaster is known to be 6ft 1" while Rod is only 5ft 10", yet the pair appeared to be of equal height on this particular evening.
While Penny is currently appearing on Strictly Come Dancing, she blamed her tired feet for the fact that she was teaming her elegant corset dress with a pair of plain ballet pumps, rather than the stilettos she usually likes to wear.
"It's exhausting," she claimed. "My feet hurt, that's why I'm wearing flat shoes." However, on closer inspection of her hubby's patent leather boots, photographs revealed a pair of sizeable heels, which would have added around two inches to the singer's height.
Meanwhile, we may not be seeing Ms Lancaster in a corset for quite a while, as she revealed that another baby was on the cards for her and Rod.
