Scottish star weds wife in corset
June 14, 2007
Scotland and Everton striker James McFadden married his girlfriend of three years in style, when Gillian Hunter walked down the aisle in a corset-style gown to say 'I do'.
The off-the-shoulder corseted dress was matched with a diamond tiara, while Mr McFadden wore a traditional black kilt and a green cravat. The couple's son, James, who was only born last June, wore a black kilt to match his father's.
Guests at the wedding, which took place at Our Lady and St Anne's church in Hamilton, included McFadden's Scotland team-mates Darren Fletcher, Lee McCulloch and DavidWeir and Everton footballers James Beattie and Alan Stubbs.
After the ceremony, the newlyweds were ushered from the church by security guards and were driven to a Glasgow hotel in a Rolls Royce for the reception.
Meanwhile, Darren Fletcher and James Beattie signed autographs for children who had gathered outside the church.
A friend of the couple told the Daily Record: "This is a dream wedding for them. They are so happy."
