Stars dress up for New York gala

Hollywood's A-list took to the red carpet in New York last night (May 19th) for the launch of the American Ballet Theatre's Spring Gala.
Actress Renee Zellweger and business heiress Ivanka Trump opted for glamorous corset dresses for the special event, with Renee choosing grey and Ivanka dark blue tones.
Also in attendance were the First Lady Michelle Obama, Vogue editor Anna Wintour, supermodel Iman and actresses Sigourney Weaver, Lynda Carter and Claire Danes.
Speaking at the Metropolitan Opera House, Mrs Obama said: "The arts are not just a nice thing to have or to do if there is free time or if one can afford it.
"Rather, paintings and poetry, music and fashion, design and dialogue, they all define who we are as a people and provide an account of our history for the next generation."
The bodice of Bridget Jones star Renee's evening gown on the night was reminiscent of the strapless corset dress she wore for her wedding to country singer Kenny Chesney back in 2005.
