Stefani salutes Scotland in corset
September 25, 2007
Gwen Stefani has embarked on her first UK tour as a solo artist, and she started her performance in Scotland wearing a corset.
Kicking off her Sweet Escape Tour, the first of her eight UK performances was at Glasgow's SECC Arena.
She appeared on stage in Glasgow in a sequined corset with kiss-curled hair, before changing into a range of other costumes throughout the performance.
Her appearance in the corset was heralded by police sirens as spotlights showed Stefani silhouetted against a prison cell made for the stage, while the backing dancers all wore policemen's uniforms.
Aside from the corset, Ms Stefani played on her Scottish heritage, wearing a Scotland football shirt with #1 Gwen stitched onto it.
She also said that her personal trainer was Scottish and revealed that her son Kingston, whom she had by her half-Scottish husband Bush's Gavin Rossdale, has a taste for blood pudding.
The Sweet Escape album, her latest offering, sold 243,000 copies in its first week of US release.
