Corset-loving Katy 'proud' of fashion sense

Katy Perry, who often wears overbust corsets to capture her unique sense of retro style, has said that she is proud of her creative fashion sense.
The I Kissed A Girl singer is well-known for her eye-catching outfits and is often seen on stage wearing old-fashioned corsets teamed with shorts and heels.
Speaking to Women's Health magazine, Katy said: "I'm proud of those outfits. I don't follow trends. I have my own look, which I call 'Lolita Meets Old Hollywood Glam.'
"But there are certain times when I want to mix it up and be edgier. For last New Year's Eve, for example, I looked S&M in this all-black corset dress … lace tights, and five-inch heels."
The 24-year-old singer also revealed that her style icons are the 80s icon Cyndi Lauper as well as burlesque dancer and regular corset-wearer Dita Von Teese because she "looks fabulous going to the grocery store".
