Corset-loving Pussycat Dolls reveal slim secrets
February 24, 2009
US girl group the Pussycat Dolls, who often perform on stage wearing underbust corsets over T-shirts teamed with latex leggings, have admitted that they work hard to stay in shape.
The Whatcha Think About That hit-makers say that they have to cut out their favourite fattening foods and exercise regularly in order to look their best in their raunchy stage outfits.
Band member Kimberly Wyatt explained: "The show is really tough on our bodies - we sacrifice everything. We have to take care of ourselves and we do that to the best of our ability."
She added that the girls, who started off as a burlesque troupe, often sacrifice comfort for glamour on stage.
Kimberly said: "There is certainly nothing comfortable about latex, but we are a performance group. Hopefully the costumes entertain our audience. Corsets are probably the hardest thing to perform in."
