Lily sings for fans in Victorian corset
May 12, 2009
London-born singer Lily Allen dressed up in a Victorian corset last night (May 11th) for a special themed performance in the capital.
The 24-year-old songstress wowed fans with an intimate gig at a venue in Notting Hill wearing a costume inspired by Queen Victoria, reports reveal.
In keeping with the MySpace event's London Underground theme, fans also turned out in creative fancy dress reflecting tube stations such as Angel, Wimbledon and Elephant and Castle.
Commenting on the comfort of her traditional dress, Lily told the audience: "I've never sung in a corset - it's quite hard!"
The starlet covered up the under bust corset with a sheer black blouse, creating a risque take on regal attire.
Announcing the gig on MySpace last week, the Smile singer posted: "The theme is London Tube Stations. Dress up. As an added bonus, the people who dress up the very best will win a meet and greet apres-show."
