A charity auction saw many corseted celebrities at the weekend, as the stars dressed up in costumes for the Halloween Under the Big Top party at Santa Monica Airport's Barker Hangar.

Desperate Housewives star Teri Hatcher was there as event chairwoman wearing a Queen of Hearts costume with a red and black corset top topped off with a crown.

The actress also auctioned off a unique doll modelled on herself, which sold for $20,000. It seems that Ms Hatcher in a corset caught one punter's eye as he bid $25,000 for one of her dresses plus a dinner date.

Demi Moore's daughter Rumer Willis was not showing her demure side, as she chose to wear fishnet stockings and a sexy corset with only a train attached. The 19-year-old matched her corset with a long black wig and black heels. The dress she wore to the recent Superbad premiere fetched $5,500.

However, it is not only the females in the Willis family who wear the corsets, as Rumer revealed to USA Today that her father, action man Bruce Willis in the past dressed up in drag for a Halloween party. "He looked fantastic!," she said.

The circus-themed charity auction is held every year for the Children Affected by Aids Foundation (CAAF). Jamie Lee Curtis hosted it for the 10th consecutive year, dressed as a ringmaster. Last year, the actress hosted the event dressed up as a pirate, complete with a black corset with an oversized pirate hat, hook hand, parrot and curly red wig.

"It's my favourite event," Ms Curtis told USA today. "It's all of the spirit and fun that show business should be." However we are unlikely to see her other half in a corset as the actress revealed that husband Christopher Guest isn't as enthusiastic about dressing up for Halloween. "A little red clown nose - and that's it," Ms Curtis explained.
