What is the most difficult aspect of being a part of the Burlesque industry?

Personally, as a producer, the most difficult aspect is dealing with non-professional artists. This means those who cancel an appearance at very short notice. Doesn’t happen often (and we never re book anyone who has done this) , but it can cause absolute chaos.

Advice? Don’t wear rose tinted spectacles, be brutally critical of yourself, ask others to do the same and don’t expect to get rich quick. Theres a lot of competition out there so try and find a way to be different and memorable.
